How to Transition Your Last Tango Winter Wardrobe to Spring

With spring rapidly approaching (heck yeah!) it’s time to transition your wardrobe from the big, bulky winter sweaters to something more light and fresh for the upcoming spring season! The winter-to-spring transition can be difficult, especially for you east coasters who are still dealing with snow and chilly temps, but it’s time to put a little spring in your step. I know winters here in So Cal don’t even compare to what goes on back on the East Coast, but we still get excited to put our turtlenecks away and trade them out for beautiful lightweight fabrics and brighter colors. And, yes, I’m aware spring may not be on the radar for some of you, but let’s see if we can try and incorporate ways to slowly transition your wardrobe for the upcoming spring season, and get you out of those winter blues!

5 Easy Tips for transitioning your wardrobe from winter to spring

  1. Duster Jackets
  2. Transitional Prints
  3. Add a New Settle Color into the Mix
  4. Switch to a Lighter Weight Fabric
  5. Brighten Up Your Winter Blues with Our Beautiful Royal Blue

Let’s Start By Trading Out Puffer Jackets for Duster Jackets

We know that in some parts of the US it still may be too soon to ditch all the layers, but we can hopefully start trading out the puffer jackets for duster jackets!  Duster jackets still provide warmth but aren’t anywhere near as bulky as a winter coat, but they are the perfect layering piece to transition your wardrobe. They make such a statement, yet they aren’t near as annoying as layering up with a big winter coat. Dusters make the winter-to-spring transition easy.  I would even go as far to say your outfit can be planned around your favorite duster! It’s easy. If you have a printed duster like our leopard duster below, you can work on completing your outfit to coincide with this leopard print. We chose to go monochrome with nice crisp ivory to allow the duster jacket steal the show.

Find the Right Transitional Print to Get You Spring Ready

What kind of clothes do you wear in the spring? Pretty floral prints? Bright colors? Shorter Sleeve lengths? All things fun and pretty come to mind when we start thinking about our spring wardrobe, but we understand some of these things are not realistic in certain regions due to weather conditions, and wearing hot pink when it’s 40 degrees out just doesn’t seem right. Good news is…we can work around that! I think we all hit a certain point where we are eager for the seasons to change, and just feel like we can’t put on another turtleneck or sweater any longer.  Since we have no control over Mother Nature and what weather conditions she will bring, try adding a fun new print in the mix to help transition your wardrobe out of the winter blues. No, I’m not talking the springiest, brightest floral print you can find, but something more settle; a print that adds color and excitement to this “transitional” spring wardrobe.

Our top selling print of the spring season is a very attention grabbing print, that doesn’t obnoxiously scream “Spring is here when it really isn’t because the temperatures are still frigid!” This abstract animal print showcases pops of red mixed with neutral colors. It’s vibrant and lively, but not in your face. The great thing is we offer all different body styles in this print. Not ready for tanks, no problem. We’ve got ¾ sleeves. Whatever the weather, we’ve got you covered.

Freshen Up Your Wardrobe With a Great Transitional Color

There’s something about not feeling comfortable wearing a bright color until it’s really spring. I’m talking, the sun is shining nice and bright and the weather is high 70s. That’s around the time when the pretty bright pinks, yellows, and any color under the rainbow comes out. I don’t know whoever came up with that rule, but we agree. It just doesn’t feel right to wear such a vibrant color when we’re in this awkward transitional period in seasons. But, like we said before we’re eager for the seasons to change so try introducing a new spring color that is more muted is a way to work around this seasonal change. For spring, we offer a color called denim. It’s fresh, clean, and although not a bright vibrant color, it gives us just the right amount of spring vibes we’re looking for. Give your wardrobe a quick refresh with this spring color.
